I went on a sports talk show with my friend for MavRadio and previewed the upcoming 2020 MLB season including storylines to look for, who will win each division, the Wild Cards, the World Series and award winners.
This was a podcast I did for Radio/Audio 2 with Joey Colbert. In this episode we talked a little bit about how we became fans of the teams we root for, some of our favorite memories/moments and some heart breakers. We recorded and edited it, added sound effects, drop-ins and used an original intro and outro. Our audience for the podcast is sports fans since we talked primarily about college football and NFL.
Food Bank for the Heartland story
My last assignment for Media Storytelling was to create a news package of photos with audio behind it. I interviewed Angie Grote who works at Food Bank for the Heartland. It was also a valuable experience and gave me some more experience as to what the field will be like once college is done. I loved creating this news package and I believe that as I grow and get more experience, I will continue to get better and better at them.
For my first assignment of Media Storytelling, I did a photo story of Global Partners in Hope here in town. I also conducted an interview while I was there. This interview gave me some background on what they do so I could also write a few paragraphs. It was a very valuable experience for me.
